Position Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Previous RN experience required – Great Benefits and Learning Opportunity!

  • Work environment: The Belmark Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Bellin Health is one of only a handful in the nation to incorporate a family-integrated, private room model, where mom and baby both start together and stay together in the full embrace of exceptional care.  The research shows what nature knows—moms and babies belong together. While traditional NICUs employ a pod model that separates babies from the nurturing and comforting sounds, smells, contact, and movement of their mothers, the Bellin model embraces them together, wrapping them in expert care and compassion.
  • Salary range is based on relevant years of experience.

Shift Hours:

Full Time, .9 FTE - 12 hour shifts, either Day/Night shift rotation or straight Night shift with a weekend rotation. Call rotation as needed. 

Job Description:

Responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with a critical care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient in a fast-paced environment. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged. Continuous educational opportunities to advance skills and knowledge to progress in your career. 


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Wisconsin RN license required. 

One year of previous RN experience required. Prior NICU experience preferred. 

BLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained. ACLS and PALS – within 180 days of hire and maintained. NIHSS – National Institute of Health Stroke Certification – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained.

Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates. ($2,500 for ADN Part Time, $5,000 for ADN Full Time or BSN Part Time and $10,000 for BSN Full Time).
