Hourly Pay Range

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

  • Hours: various start times between 7:30AM-5:30PM Monday to Thursday, 7:00AM-3:30PM Friday
  • Required Travel: Will need to travel other sites such as Lakeview

Position Overview

We are a busy Medical Group focusing on Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery primarily located at Highland Park Ambulatory Care Center dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a part of our dedicated team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver excellent care while interacting with our patients over the phone and through direct patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking abilities, time management skills, and the ability to work independently while remaining a valuable team player. This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday through Thursday between 7:30am and 5:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. Location will be primarily at the Skokie Ambulatory Care Center. There will be weekly travel to our Lakeview (Chicago) office as well.

What You Will Do

  • Provide nursing care services under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians
  • Phone triage, test results, medication refills, prior authorizations, conveying plans of care patient education/teaching
  • Review and respond to NorthShore Connect messages from patients
  • Chart in Epic, our electronic medical record

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care services under the direction of the Physicians and Practice Manager
  • Manage telephone triage for patients, assessing symptoms and patient needs, providing medical advice, guidance and ensure timely follow-up
  • Inform of test results, provide medication refills, convey patient plans of care, prior authorizations, and charting in Epic (EMR)
  • Collaborate with the Urogynecology team to ensure quality care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with our office protocols.
  • Provide clear communication with both patients and medical team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Handle a high volume of calls/messages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answer patient inquiries and address concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Assist with patient education regarding treatments and procedures we perform.
  • Schedule office appointments
  • Under supervision of the physician assist/perform in-office procedures

What You Will Need

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required
  • Experience: 2 years of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting required
  • Strong critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible, empathetic and a team player.
  • Experience in Urogynecology or Women’s Health is a plus but not required.
