Additional Information
We hope everyone will join us virtually on January 10, 2026, for our January 2026 Educational Event. It starts at 9 AM with chapter announcements from our president, Judy Giovannelli. At 9:15 AM our first speaker, Holly Losurdo PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE, NE-BC, CPPS will present "Rescue Equity in Action: The High Reliability Impact of Critical Care Outreach Nursing." This one-hour session explores the role of Critical Care Outreach Nursing as a high-reliability practice that strengthens early recognition, escalation, and rescue. Participants will examine key attributes of high reliability organizing, define failure to rescue, and discuss patient outcomes influenced by delayed response. Through practical strategies and real-world application, the session highlights how Critical Care Outreach supports equitable, timely rescue for every patient. Dr. Losurdo is the Director of Critical Care Outreach & Central Telemetry for the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System.
