Gerri has spoken at our meetings before and is currently a CNS for Resilience Healthcare.
This one-hour program will consist of reviewing the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. The pathophysiology of pleural effusions, hemothorax, pneumothorax, and empyemas will be discussed. Treatment and care for patients who require thoracic drainage will be discussed using the different drainage procedures and the various choices the physicians make to determine which drainage system will be most effective.
